Merry Christmas!

I know I had not posted here in a while, more or less dealing with my rant blog and also my radio show blog, but I have to thank many people whom I had met throughout the 2012 campaign.

To Michael B. Smith - we have been through thick and thin from our days on the Herman Cain Dashboard back in the Summer of 2011. While we might have parted ways back in late December 2011 to early January 2012 due to you supporting Santorum when I supported Mr. Newt, I am ever thankful to you for allowing me 2 hours every Saturday to vent and let my crazed mind roam on Conservative Nation Radio.

To Texas or Busted and the gang at Own The Narrative - I know I have not been with you since the beginning, but I thank you for welcoming me into the fold and letting me say some of the most off the wall things from time to time.

To Harriet Baldwin and Patricia Baber - Thank you both for being former co-hosts with me on Red, Right, and Blue. No matter what, I still consider you a part of the Red, Right, and Blue family as well as a part of the Conservative Nation Radio family.

To Billie Cotter - Thank you for stepping up and being my co-host on Red, Right, and Blue. We might disagree on a couple of things, but no matter what we always make the show as interesting and intriguing as can be.

To Robert Stacy McCain - I know we had not talked all that much on Twitter, but in the few conversations we had, you are a very wise person. Keep up the good work with The Other McCain, one of the best blog out there as far as news goes.

To Becca Lower - You have come a long way in the year or so since we had met. I am thankful you had stepped in for Patricia that one time on Red, Right, and Blue and that catapulted you into making your own blog and now your own website at Lowering the Boom. Keep up the good work.

To Tamara Holder - I knew the first time I heard you on Sean Hannity’s Radio Show that you are one of the few liberals (or leftists) that I can tolerate, and I was right. You and Sean have the best interaction I have ever seen, and every time I see you on his show or anywhere on Fox News Channel I always grin because you are passionate in your beliefs but you do it with class.

I know there are others I might be forgetting, but you all have been an inspiration to me over the past year. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Here’s to good friends and good times now and in the year to come!

OPEN THREAD! How many Electoral Votes do you think Romney will get November 6?

First time doing an open thread.

[tweet https://twitter.com/RickBulow1974/status/262864090467278848]

A little background on this. I was hearing all of the talk about the attack on Benghazi on September 11, 2012 (hereafter known as #BenghaziGate) and realized that this is not the first time nor will it be the last that Obama had basically proven himself to be inept. We had seen this last year with the #Occupy movement and also earlier this year with #FastNFurious. Therefore, I decided to to the tweet above and also think just how many Electoral Votes you, dear reader, think Romney will get. Post your thoughts and your Electoral Vote Count below.

An open letter for ALL who want to save America

Found this in The Patriot Zone and have to share it out!

This is to everyone who wants to save America as we know it regardless of your affiliation!!!

Read over the following article and let it sink in. We no longer have the checks and balances that our founding fathers gave us. What muscle does the congress have? They do not control any part of the military, FBI, Border Patrol, ICE, and the list goes on. All of those police and military force type agencies fall under the executive branch. The only power the congress has is the purse and with a president who is willing to force the issue by shutting things down congress will yield. Forget the courts. Who can enforce their rulings? The executive branch does. The last four years have painted us into a corner that can only be solved by changing presidents. This election is for ALL of the marbles and don't ever forget that. Clyde

HE DOESN'T EVEN SPELL OUT THE DISASTER THAT HE COULD DO TO THE SUPREME COURT FOR YEARS TO COME.

What you are about to read is accurate and it is scary.

From: John Porter

To: Americans everywhere

I was sitting at my keyboard halfway through my writing a letter to you about how Barack Obama was fulfilling his pledge to "Transform America" by "Changing the fundamentals of America," so that our government would become the plantation, he the owner, and we the slaves, when this article by Steve McCann appeared in my in box. After checking it for accuracy, and finding it to be so, I put my writing on hold and here present it to you, for I could not say it better.

Obama's Second Term Transformation Plans

The 2012 election has often been described as the most pivotal since 1860.This statement is not hyperbole. If Barack Obama is re-elected the United States will never be the same, nor will it be able to re-capture its once lofty status as the most dominant nation in the history of mankind.

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama's first term was dedicated to putting in place executive power to enable him and the administration to fulfill the campaign promise of "transforming America " in his second term regardless of which political party controls Congress. That is why his re-election team is virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent or prospective Democratic Party office holders.

The most significant accomplishment of Obama's first term was to make Congress irrelevant. Under the myopic and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a second term, a potential dictatorial presidency.

During the first two years of the Obama administration when the Democrats overwhelming controlled both Houses of Congress and the media was in an Obama worshipping stupor, a myriad of laws were passed and actions taken which transferred virtually unlimited power to the executive branch.

The birth of multi-thousand page laws was not an aberration. This tactic was adopted so the bureaucracy controlled by Obama appointees would have sole discretion in interpreting vaguely written laws and enforcing thousands of pages of regulations they and not Congress would subsequently write.

For example, in the 2,700 pages of ObamaCare there are more than 2,500 references to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. There are more than 700 instances when he or she is instructed that they "shall" do something and more than 200 times when they "may" take at their sole discretion some form of regulatory action. On 139 occasions, the law mentions that the "Secretary determines." In essence one person, appointed by and reporting to the president, will be in charge of the health care of 310 million Americans once ObamaCare is fully operational in 2014.

The same is true in the 2,319 pages of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act which confers nearly unlimited power on various agencies to control by fiat the nation's financial, banking and investment sectors. The bill also creates new agencies, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, not subject to any oversight by Congress. This overall process was repeated numerous times with other legislation all with the intent of granting unfettered power to the executive branch controlled by Barack Obama and his radical associates.

Additionally, the Obama administration has, through its unilaterally determined rule making and regulatory powers, created laws out of whole cloth. The Environmental Protection Agency on a near daily basis issues new regulations clearly out of their purview in order to modify and change environmental laws previously passed and to impose a radical green agenda never approved by Congress. The same is true of the Energy and Interior Departments among many others.

None of these extra-constitutional actions have been challenged by Congress. The left in America knows this usurpation of power is nearly impossible to reverse unless stopped in its early stages.

It is clearly the mindset of this administration and its appointees that Congress is merely a nuisance and can be ignored after they were able to take full advantage of the useful idiots in the Democrat controlled House and Senate in 2009-2010 and the Democrat Senate in the current Congress.

Additionally, Barack Obama knows after his re-election a Republican controlled House and Senate will not be able to enact any legislation to roll back the power previously granted to the Executive Branch or usurped by them. His veto will not be overridden as there will always be at least 145 Democratic members of the House or 34 in the Senate in agreement with or intimidated by an administration more than willing to use Chicago style political tactics.

The stalemate between the Executive and Legislative Branches will inure to the benefit of Barack Obama and his fellow leftists.

The most significant power Congress has is the control of the purse-strings as all spending must be approved by them. However, once re-elected, Barack Obama, as confirmed by his willingness to do or say anything and his unscrupulous re-election tactics, would not only threaten government shutdowns but would deliberately withhold payments to those dependent on government support as a means of intimidating and forcing a Republican controlled Congress to surrender to his demands, thus neutering their ability to control the administration through spending constraints.

Further, this administration has shown contempt for the courts by ignoring various court orders, e.g. the Gulf of Mexico oil drilling moratorium, as well as stonewalling subpoenas and requests issued by Congress. The Eric Holder Justice Department has become the epitome of corruption as part of the most dishonest and deceitful administration in American history. In a second term the arrogance of Barack Obama and his minions will become more blatant as he will not have to be concerned with re-election.

Who will be there to enforce the rule of law, a Supreme Court ruling or the Constitution? No one. Barack Obama and his fellow-travelers will be unchallenged as they run roughshod over the American people.

Many Republicans and conservatives dissatisfied with the prospect of Mitt Romney as the nominee for president are instead focused on re-taking the House and Senate. That goal, while worthy and necessary, is meaningless unless Barack Obama is defeated . The nation is not dealing with a person of character and integrity but someone of single-minded purpose and overwhelming narcissism. Judging by his actions, words and deeds during his first term, he does not intend to work with Congress, either Republican or Democrat in his second term but rather to force his radical agenda on the American people through the power he has usurped or been granted.

The governmental structure of the United States was set up by the founders in the hope that over the years only those people of high moral character and integrity would assume the reins of power. However, knowing that was not always possible, they dispersed power over three distinct and independent branches as a check on each other.

What they could not imagine is the surrender and abdication of its constitutional duty by the preeminent governmental branch, the Congress, to a chief executive devoid of any character or integrity coupled with a judiciary essentially powerless to enforce the law when the chief executive ignores them.

Conservatives, Libertarians, the Republican Party and Mitt Romney must come to grips with this moment in time and their historical role in denying Barack Obama and his minions their ultimate goal. All resources must be directed at that end-game and not merely controlling Congress and the various committee chairmanships.

Steve McCann

May 12, 2012

I would add but 6 words to those above mentioned, Conservatives, Libertarians, the Republican Party and Mitt Romney, to say "and we the American people," must also come to grips with this moment in time and our role in denying Barack Obama his life long goal of "transforming" us into his slaves working on his government plantation.

Please forward this to all you can, maybe together we can save America for ourselves and those who will follow after us.

May God bless America,

Never Forget What Happened 11 Years Ago

EagleCryingRemember9-11-01

I know I will not. In fact, I remember exactly where I was on this day 5 years ago when I first heard about the plane striking the World Trade Center. I was at a McDonald's enjoying breakfast and listening to a local sportsradio broadcaster broadcast live from there when he broke for his 45 minutes past the hour break. I was about to walk over to him during the break and say that I wanted to speak about Michael Jordan's return to basketball and play for the Washington Wizards when I looked at his face which is that of shock. At first report it seemed to me like a small plane and that it was a freak accident, but when I heard of the second plane hit the World Trade Center I knew that this had to be some sort of planned attack. I spent the entire 9:00 hour glued to his little broadcast station as he had a set of headphones which I listened to the producer back at the station speak to him and updating him. There were other callers who chimed in with updates from the televised newscasts. After the show ended I hung around for a small time listening, then the host's dad offered to drive me to teh college where I could watch the TV in the library as well as get current updates on the internet. While en route I phoned my mom and stepdad to tell them what had happened. My stepdad told me that he had heard about it and that mom was going to get me and tell me but she saw that I was gone. When I went into the library at the college to watch the news, I almost fell to the floor upon seeing the planes striking the Towers and the Pentagon. About 11:45 I got word that the college was closing and called my grandma in Chicago to ask her if she and dad knew what was happening. She said that dad was on the way to the store but that they knew what was going on. After I spoke to grandma I went home and kept the news on the TV all the time, gasping and getting angry as to what happened.

I urge people to NEVER forget this day for as long as they live. I encourage everyone no matter where they are that if they have the American flag to unfurl it and wave it proudly, for as Frankin Delano Roosevelt said of another terrible day in American History, "This is a day which will go down in infamy."

It is amazing how 5 years later, the horrific events of 9-11 still affects people. A lady who checked the terrorists onto that first flight that hit the towers killed herself because she couldn't deal with the guilt. Also, another checker who did the second flight.... is still five years later in intense therapy. This I had found out from a woman who I had seen in a chat room where I visit often. I guess this is a lot like Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

Those words, written September 11, 2006, still hold true today. While the main proponents of the September 11, 2001, attacks are either dead or still imprisoned awaiting trial, we must not remember what happened that fateful day. We had been at war with Muslim extremists ever since 1784 when the first American vessel was seized by Moroccan pirates. That led to the formation of the United States Navy in March 1794 and us taking the battle to them. The Middle East has always been in the interest of the United States, as seen by historian Michael Oren in a speech given at Columbia University entitled The Middle East and the Making of the United States, 1776 to 1815. In fact, Oren had said that the Middle East 's Impact on American Affairs Is Nothing New. Not many know or realize this, but it is true.

The Middle East will always have an impact on American affairs, regardless of who is in the White House or has control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The only question is how the people in control of those offices handle the affairs coming out of the Middle East. Even though many people hate President George W. Bush, he knew how to handle the affairs out of the Middle East. In fact, if it were not for the intelligence and the protocols already in place, Obama would not have had the opportunity to order the death of Osama bin Ladin.

The Incredible Shrinking Man

I will start this editorial out by playing another wonderful video by Bill Whittle:

We are definitely seeing Obama as the Incredible Shrinking Man, and Romney as the one on the rise. We had seen it with this recent Republican Convention as well as Romney visiting the storm-ravaged area of Louisiana. These last 66 days until the election are bound to be one of the most exciting, most intense, most intriguing time we are in. This is a make it or break it time in that if Obama is re-elected, then America as we know it will cease to exist.

Election 2012: ALL 50 states are up for grabs

I have mentioned on Own The Narrative a few times, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, that based on Fast and Furious, ObamaCare, and Sandra Fluke that all 50 states are up for grabs. Oh sure there will be states (like California, Illinois, and New York) which will vote for Obama but the key is by HOW MUCH Obama will win by in those states. Many people have told me that Romney should write those states off as unwinnable but I feel that if he holds Obama to within a single digit margin in those states, then it will be a victory for him. The key will be whether it will be a moral victory if Romney gets the 270+ electoral votes (I say Romney will get 326 or 327, Titan92 of Own The Narrative says 316, and Hey_Sherm also of Own the Narrative says 320) or a pyrrhic victory should Obama somehow win a second term.

According to an article by Colorado University, all signs point to a Romney landslide with 320 electoral votes for Romney with 218 for Obama. Though the study mainly focuses on the Electoral College, the study also said that 52.9% of the popular vote will go to Romney as opposed to 47.1% for Obama. This just leads more credence to my theory about all 50 states being up for grabs, especially as in the article it says that Romney will win all the swing states Obama won in 2008.

Those signs which point to a Romney landslide focus mainly on Jobs and the Economy. There are no social conservatism issues mentioned in this study at al. The reason for that is because social conservatism loses elections, and we are definitely seeing that with the Todd Akin v. Claire McCaskill race in the Missouri Senate race. Akin had a 10 point lead until last Saturday when he mentioned the thing about “legitimate rape” and then it saw the polls shift to McCaskill leading by 10 points in the span of 3 days, leading to the Cook Report stating that Akin is unelectable and that the Missouri Senate seat will remain unwinnable to Republicans as long as Akin stays in the race.

Outside of the Missouri Senate seat, I am confident we will keep the House, take back the Senate AND win the White House with Romney. And with that in mind we have to all we can to make 2012 a Republican victory.

Paul Ryan is a perfect pick by Mitt Romney

I would like to start by playing this video from Afterburner with Bill Whittle entitled “A Great Way to Win and Lose”:

Whittle hit it on the head. Mitt Romney had made the PERFECT decision in selecting Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential pick. Paul Ryan is young and smart, two things which liberals do not like. This pick also scares liberals because this race will focus on the main issues of jobs and the economy and not the shiny objects. Also, as Ryan had said during one of his speeches, “We want this debate about Medicare. we NEED this debate about Medicare.” Ryan is exciting and has done what Obama and the Democrats had not done in 3 years: produce a budget.  In picking Ryan, Romney has galvanized the Conservatives and made this race exciting. Now it is our turn to do what all we can do in order to make Obama a one-term president.

Some things to consider about Mitt Romney

On the Patriot Zone on Facebook, my friend Toni Walsh had posited a wonderful post about Mitt Romney we should all consider.

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER ABOUT MITT ROMNEY

1. He simultaneously went to Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School and then passed the Michigan Bar, but never worked as an attorney.
2. As a venture-capitalist, his first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company name? STAPLES. Staples now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.
3. Romney - or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") - went on to perform the same kind of business miracles again and again, with companies like:
Domino's,
Sealy,
Brookstone,
Weather Channel,
Burger King,
Warner Music Group,
Dollarama,
Home Depot Supply, and many others.
4. He was a volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign for a year. He was an unpaid intern in the Governor's office 8 years.
5. Keeping in mind we are not electing a national pastor, he served as a Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years. He was then an unpaid bishop and stake president for his church for 10 years.
6. He then served as president of the Olympics for 3 years - also without pay.
7. He took no salary as Massachusetts governor for 4 years.
8. In 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income
(Obama gave 1%, Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%).
9. GRAND TOTAL OF ROMNEY’S UNPAID SERVICE (to community, church and country): 28 years.
While Romney may not be the Republican you had hoped would win the Primary, at least you know the following about him ahead of time:
(1) what religion he is,
(2) he won't desecrate the flag,
(3) he will not bow before foreign powers,
(4) he will not squander our money on vacations,
(5) he never was a "Community Organizer,"
(6) he never took drugs or smoked pot,
(7) he never got drunk,
(8) he has never attended a church whose pastor called for God to damn the United States,
and, most important, (9) he has never associated with communists or terrorists.

Wise words to live by

546300_412093818822837_1575255841_n

On July 9, 2012, in Patriots United Against Obama Propaganda on Facebook my good friend Diane Sori was upset at the actions of a few people and went off on a massive major rant.

OK guys...today is rant day, I am furious and some of the whining and negativity has given me a freakin' splitting headache! First, if I hear one more freakin' thing about ROMNEY being a Mormon I WILL scream! What the hell is wrong with a Mormon...and I am saying that rhetorically as we have a damn muzzie in the WH right now! I have NO problems with Mormons and any ultra religious bigot that does needs to get over themselves! A muzzie or a Mormon...that should be a NO brainer!

Second, ROMNEY is NOT a flip-flopper! Everyone is entitled to change their minds, to change their opinions as they learn more about an issue. Maybe he learned something he did NOT know before...NOBODY absolutely NOBODY is perfect and NO two people will agree on everything 100% of the time, so again get over your, 'but he changed his mind...he flipped' selves! I bet everyone of you has changed your minds at some time.

Third...this is NOT God's battle! This is OUR battle, it's OUR job to save OUR country...it's NOT God's job to save us every time we make a mess of something. Ask God for guidance, ask God for strength, ask God for whatever you think might help you but then get off your knees and get out in the trenches and FIGHT! Remember Joshua at Jericho if need be but STOP sitting back and saying God will save us because he won't! We and only we will save us if we unite together and fight for OUR country.

Fourth...STOP the damn whining already that it's ROMNEY and NOT RS, HC, NG or whomever you supported...it's ROMNEY get over it! Help him do NOT work AGAINST him with all the bullsh*t about a brokered convention that Sarah will now be the nominee, or Newt, or whomever because it's MITT, period! The confirmed delegates are there, committed and MITT IS IT! Now either unite with him and help save our country or just SHUT the you-know-what up! UNITED WE STAND and WILL WIN...DIVIDED WE COULD LOOSE!

Fifth...NO crap about voting third party as a third party vote IS a vote for Obama. And NOT voting is NOT an option. This election is the most critical in our nation's history so either be part of the solution instead of adding to the problem!

And sixth, if I hear any more whining, but, but, but...or anything to that effect not only will I scream but I'll start hitting the delete button and I really don't want to do that. Wake up people...this is our last chance...our very last chance so let's get it right because 4 more years of Obama will be the end of our beloved country as we know her and you whiners, complainers, instigators, trouble-makers, bigots, and assorted other divisive driven sour grapers WILL be the cause of it!

UNITED WE WIN...DIVIDED WE LOSE...it's that simple!

Diane is right. We NEED to get behind Romney NOW or else we will LOSE this country. As Benjamin Franklin said at the signing of the Declaration of Independence, “We must, indeed, all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” And as Andrew Breitbart said, “If you are not behind the nominee, then more than shame on you. You on the other side.”

Basically, the question you need to ask yourself come November is this: Do you stand FOR America, or are you AGAINST America? Choose you this day where you are. But as for me and my show, we stand FOR America.

Who Is Mitt Romney: Some Facts You Might Not Know

Read this post on Facebook in the Common Sense Thinkers Café and it SO sums up the REAL Mitt Romney vs. the Mitt Romney we see on the News:

Al Poe

Just Some Real Facts About Mitt Romney That You Will Not Hear About, From The Lame Stream Media About The Real Mitt Romney!
Mitt Romney:
After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney.
As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.
Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.
Got your calculators handy? Let's recap.
Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
Unpaid intern in Governor's office 8 years.
Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years.
Unpaid bishop and state president for his church 10 years.
No salary as president of the Olympics 3 years.
No salary as MA governor 4 years.
That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is!
And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income....Obama gave 1%
Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%
This is real character vs....well you know what!
Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "SpendingPresident" has gotten us into. We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks. We won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.
But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot. Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.
Do Us all a favor. Please send this to others who may be ill informed

Career Politicians

Another election season is in the works. If you are not seeing them already, you will be seeing commercials on TV or mailings in your email or through the United States Postal Service from your Representative wanting more money and/or your support for them in the upcoming election. Chances are said politician has been in office for 20 or 40 years and done nothing for your district. You are wondering why you continue to vote for that politician and had nothing to show for it. Is there someone out there who has YOUR best interests at heart?

Well there is. That organization is called GOOOH, which stands for Get Out Of Our House. It is very fitting as the organization intends to vote out all 435 members of the House of Representatives and replace them with citizen activist, citizen statesmen if you will. GOOOH has people in all 50 states and 435 Congressional Districts with that sole purpose. Each district has three rounds (sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the district) of intense, competitive “citizen conventions” designed to pick a single candidate which is represented by GOOOH and also by the people of said conventions. Will they be successful? I do not know, but do know that it will be up to the people of that particular district if they are. The question to ask is: “are you happy with the same old career politicians who are working for the lobbyists, or do you want a citizen statesman looking out for your interest?”

This November, let us tell the career politicians to GOOOH!

Mitt Romney is the nominee. Now what?

“And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two” (Matthew 5:41 NASB)

All right, so Mitt Romney is the nominee. Is he our first choice? No, but the establishment has us over a barrel to elect him. As soon as Romney is elected in November 6, we have the chance to flip the barrel and take the establishment to the woodshed. How can we do that? I don’t have the answer, but actually read something from a blog article posited by my good friend Felicia Cravens (aka @somethingfishie on Twitter)

Jimmie Bise Jr. has an answer.  Go to the site for his radio show "The Delivery" and download the podcast from April 4th.  Listen to the whole hour.  Jimmie rants about the Romney candidacy, and does it in a way that I find quite eloquent.  But Jimmie doesn't just rant.  Jimmie proposes a Grand Bargain.
I couldn't say it as well as he does:
"I've reached a compromise in my head with the Republican Party...

"I am going to extend some credit to the Republican party.  I am going to vote for Mitt Romney.  I am going to do my very best, consistent with my ability to keep my own intellectual integrity intact.  I am going to recommend to my friends that they vote for Mitt Romney... I want Mitt Romney to beat Barack Obama.  I will do whatever I have to do to drag this dead horse over the finish line.

"That's what I'm going to give the Republican party... Republicans, that what you get from me.  I don't want to do this, I don't like doing this, but I will do it.  I'll do it because, quite honestly, you have me behind the eight ball.

"But know this, Republican Party; after November, I am no longer behind the eight ball.  And I don't have to do anything else for you at all...

"So here's where the compromise comes in...  I'll drag his bloated ideological corpse where it has to be...
but I want something in return... You have dragooned me into doing something for you....

"I'm telling you, you're not going to have me locked to this oar forever... after November, you start paying me back...

"I will not do this again.

"No more, Republicans, I'm done with this.  WE are done with this.  All those tea party people that right now you think you have under your thumb, they're there till November."
Hear the rest at The Delivery, and tell me what you think.  I think I could live with this, the way Jimmie puts it.

Like I had been positing in the past in recent editorials, Obama has to go, and the only one to defeat him in November is Mitt Romney. May we do all we can to make it so and make Obama a one-term president.

The 2012 Presidential Election: A Chance to Repeat History

In a new Facebook Group called "Oh, alright. Fine. Mitt Romney 2012. Wooo..." there was a conversation on Thursday morning between my friends Laura Foster and Jolene Ann in which it was brought up to put the car in R before we drive off that cliff. No truer words have been spoken.

This election, as I has posited in the past, is not about electing the Republican candidate but about UNelecting Obama. Now this year it is going to be Mitt Romney, and we as patriots have to do whatever it takes to make sure Romney beats Obama in November. We have history on our side in three respects.

  • Since 1860, every election that had been held on November 6 had gone to the Republican nominee.  (Abraham Lincoln in 1860, Grover Cleveland in 1888, William McKinley in 1900, Herbert Hoover in 1928, Dwight Eisenhower in 1956, and Ronald Reagan in 1980)
  • Last 3 Governors to be nominated to run v incumbent Presidents have won.
  • Last 3 times incumbent Presidents have lost, they were defeated by a Governor.

Both times it was Jimmy Carter in 1976, Ronald Reagan in 1980, and Bill Clinton in 1992. Mitt Romney would be the 4th in both if and when he wins in November. There is a cliff symbolizing socialism ahead of us, and this election is a make or break election in which we either have a chance to put the car in Reverse or keep it in Drive. If we keep going the way we are, then as I had mentioned in recent editorials, the country as we know it will cease to exist. We need someone to put a bandaid on the bleeding, and Mitt Romney in my opinion is the one to if not stop the bleeding outright at least stop the bleeding for 4 or even 8 years.

Dr. Alexander Tytler had written a scholarly tome called "The Athenian Republic" which was published before the 13 colonies had declared their independence from Britain. In it he comes up with a wonderful concept:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government.  It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury.

"From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising them the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.  These nations have progressed through this sequence:

"From bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance;
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to apathy;
from apathy to dependence;
from dependency back again into bondage."

Right now I think we are at the apathy to dependence stage based on the fact that we have a lot of people depending on the government to pay for everything when they are able to get off their lazy asses and get to work. The people are a part of what Neal Boortz refers to as the "Dumb Ass, Dumb Masses" who do not care about politics or when they do, they want the government to look out for them.

If you want the government to pay and give you everything on a silver platter, then vote for Obama and kiss this country goodbye. If you want to work HARD for everything and NOT have the government give you everything on a silver platter, then vote for Mitt Romney and save this country.

America is failing Under Obama

For my editorial this week, I would like to play this video called "If I Wanted America to Fail" by a group called Free Market America. You had probably heard this played earlier in the week and read on many sites that Twitter had suspended their Twitter account because of this video. Well thanks to people like Michelle Malkin and Twitchy Twitter had reinstated their account about 48 – 72 hours later. If you want to read the transcript, you can find it here.

Folks, this video is so true because America IS failing now thanks to those on the Left who are doing all of these things. Last week I had watched “Atlas Shrugged Part 1” online for the 3rd time, and I have to tell you that Atlas is shrugging and shrugging hard. If we do not do anything about the change of where this country is going, we might see America fall and everything we had fought for 236 years ago be for naught. Barack Obama is doing the exact same thing that this video is proposing. We need to, no, we HAVE to, vote him out come November 6. If we do not, then we might as well kiss this country goodbye.

How the Right owns talk radio

In my last editorial, I mentioned how we needed an online Social Media Tea Party. In the various methods used, it seemed like I had neglected one other main form of social media. That form is online radio. There are a lot of online radio stations and talk show hosts out there, from those who are nationally known like Tony Katz (who I consider to be “The Godfather of online radio” because he is doing for online radio what Rush Limbaugh had done for AM/FM/Satellite Radio), Dana Loesch (who, though on a terrestrial FM station out of St. Louis, MO, I consider to be in this genre based on her involvement with the Tea Party), Larry O’Connor, Hugh Hewitt, and others, to those relative unknowns like Stephen Vandergast (The voice of BlogTalk Radio), Tessler, (The dean of BlogTalk Radio), Annie the Radio Chick (aka Southern Sense), G-Ski Rocks, Dana Smearman, Toni Walsh, Michelle Ray, Kira Davis, and others. In this online radio station and talk show host genre you could even include those outside of BlogTalk Radio, like my good friends at the Texas Or Busted Media Empire, Justin Kendall, Titan 92, NJ Libertarian, Rob Alloy IV, PrarieDog SD, and even Texas or Busted himself.

What I am getting at is that online radio (and I will even take it one step further and say Talk Radio as a whole) is one method that we as Conservatives are good at. Why? Let us take two hypothetical liberals: John Doe the liberal columnist for the New Yan Times and Joe Schnook of a liberal talk show based out of New Yan City. John runs a column which is featured in 500 papers across the country and Joe is a host of a talk show which is heard on 500 stations across the country. They both say the same thing in the column and radio show daily. Both of which are listened to or read by millions of people nationwide, with differing results. Liberals applaud their words, and there are many other listeners and readers who are of the opinion that what they had heard and read is the biggest bunch of bovine excrement they have heard in a long time. But there is a vast difference.

What is that difference you ask? The columnist goes into his cushy office and lights up a cigar while his email and newspaper office box is filled with letters of outrage as well as columns and articles sent by readers with proof that what he says is totally debunked by research and facts. However, he has a secretary which screens every letter and email he receives, and as such he does not read the hate mail that comes in. The talk show host, on the other hand, is in a dilemma. He is seeing the phones light up and has to defend his position against the same arguments which the readers to the columnist had sent via email and postal mail.

You see, the columnist has an isolation which allows him to protect his image as a genius, facing challenges only when he wants to. Now the talk show host does not have that liberty. He crumbles under the onslaught of the callers with a different viewpoint and argument. At the end of the day both the columnist and the talk show host go home. The columnist with a sense of pride that his word is out there and he had not seen any contrarian response because of his secretary. The talk show host with a sense of humiliation, having limped to the end os the show being battered and bloodied under the crushing stones of fact and logic.

Oh sure the liberal talk show host might not have to tell his producer not to put any calls on the air, but with all of the talking points of the left about how evil America and Conservatives are, as well as how individualism is not the way to go, they might have a difficult time filling up the remaining two hours and thirty minutes to two hours and forty-five seconds of their show.

Ladies and gentlemen, talk radio is one social media venue where we as Conservatives own and control the narrative. There are many ways to get involved in talk radio both online and offline. Online, you can tune into good shows like this one, like The TPZ Forum, like Mitchell and Ray, like Socialism is not an Option, like The Conservative Watchtower, like NoBamanation, like Soldiers of Patriotism, like Women Patriots, like Live and Direct with G-Ski Rocks and the Captain, like TB-TV and it’s companion the Contingency Show, and call in to participate. Offline you can call into your local talk shows or even to good national syndicated shows like Rush, like Boortz, like Levin, like Savage, like Hannity, and call in to participate. You can also plug your favorite shows both online and offline via the other social media venues I mentioned last week. Online you can also host your own show via UStream, LiveStream, and even right here on BlogTalk Radio. We HAVE the edge, we OWN the narrative as far as talk radio goes. Let us do what we can to maintain that edge, to keep owning that narrative.

The Tea Party

I am not a member of any tea parties here in Fort Myers, Florida. However, I am affiliated with a couple online and also know a lot of Tea Party supporters, so to read this letter to the editor in The News Press on Monday, April 2, 2012 is real disturbing to me

Make Believe

Tea parties are for little girls with imaginary friends.

Brendan Lally, Fort Myers

And then on the next page to see the Headline by E.J. Dionne of the Washington Post entitled “Tea Party tosses traditions of conservatism overboard” really got my blood pressure soaring. If it were not for a Tea Party, there would be no America today. No, I do not mean the Tea Party protests and the elections of 2009 – 2010. I am going further back.

Let us step into the time machine and take a trip to Colonial Boston in 1773. At the time Great Britain had ruled over the colonies. On May 10, King George had put the royal seal of approval on the Tea Act, which was supposed to convince the colonists to purchase Company tea on which the Townshend Duties were paid, thus implicitly agreeing to accept Parliament's right of taxation. It had also granted the Company the right to directly ship its tea to North America and the right to the duty-free export of tea from Britain, although the tax imposed by the Townshend Acts and collected in the colonies remained in force.

The Colonists were not pleased, and as such recognized the implications of the Act's provisions, and a coalition of merchants and artisans similar to that which had opposed the Stamp Act of 1765 mobilized opposition to delivery and distribution of the tea. The company's authorized consignees were harassed, and in many colonies successful efforts were made to prevent the tea from being landed. This culminated in the Boston Tea Party where colonists (some disguised as Native Americans) boarded tea ships anchored in the harbor and dumped their tea cargo overboard. The group (led by Samuel Adams) numbered somewhere between 30 and 130 colonists dressed as Mohawk Indians who had boarded the Dartmouth, Beaver, and Eleanor and destroyed and tossed 342 chests of tea overboard into Boston Harbor in the span of three hours. This was one of the fuses which led to the American Revolutionary War. Granted, there were other events which precipitated the colonists to revolt, but the Boston Tea Party set the stage for the final straw to the colonists to break ties from England.

If it were not for those patriots, those Sons of Liberty, there would be no America now. In 2009 with ObamaCare on the forefront and also the stimulus bill, people were fed up with Obama’s policies that they revot4ed. Not with throwing tea into harbors or even going out into the streets with guns and hacksaws, but rather with loud voices and constitutions in their hands and confronted their Senators and Congressmen who had put in their support for ObamaCare and the stimulus, as well as a few laws like Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley. That led to the election of Scott Brown to fill Ted Kennedy’s seat in Massachusetts in January, 2009 after Kennedy died as well as the massive election in 2010 when the Republicans took back the House with victories by Allen West, Michelle Bachman, and other Representatives backed by the Tea Party.

The Tea Party IS alive and well in 2012 also. Granted, there have been many of the Tea party darlings like Rubio, Ryan, and others who have backed Mitt Romney for president, but they are in no way establishment based now, which is what many have said on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets. May we do what we can to keep the House, take back the Senate, and evict Obama from the White House in 2012. To quote Darrell Lee in The Patriot Zone on Facebook,

Dear President Obama,
The answer to 2012 is 1773.
Retrospectively Yours,
The Tea Party

Online Social Media Tea Party?

There is a reason I had titled this rant like I did. Back in July during the debt ceiling debacle Hugh Hewitt, a talk radio host as well as a columnist for TownHall.com, mentioned that a “Twitter Tea Party” is needed. I had tweeted a couple of things during that Tea Party, and think that another one is needed right now. Only thing is I will go one better. What we need is just as I had mentioned in the title of this blog entry, an ONLINE SOCIAL MEDIA Tea Party.

As far as I know, there are 8 forms of Social Media online right now:

  1. Facebook (http://www.facebook.com)
  2. Twitter (http://www.twitter.com)
  3. Tumblr (http://www.tumblr.com)
  4. LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com)
  5. Digg (http://www.digg.com)
  6. YouTube (http://www.youtube.com)
  7. any and all blogs
  8. any and all message boards

(NOTE: If there are any others I am forgetting, please let me know. Also, I realize I am missing sites like RedState, Tea Party Patriots, Tea Party Nation, and FreedomWorks and FreedomConnector as well, but I have included them in the final two forms.)

With sites like Facebook and Twitter, I would propose we find out the online pages of ALL of the political figures - whether they are local, state, or national – and post on their sites, telling them how you think they are doing and just let them know what you would like to see enacted on either a bill or some other pending legislation, as well as your thoughts on how they had voted on prior pieces of legislation. Also, Facebook and Twitter are good sites to post articles and other items to let people know what is happening not only in America but all around the world.

With sites like Tumblr, LinkedIn, and Digg, I would propose that we find articles and other items, like we did with Facebook and Twitter, and post them to our pages to let people know what is happening. This way we can get the word out and keep others up to date on what is happening.

In the event that the articles we had found are already posted to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, or Digg by others, we should like, share, Retweet, Digg, and/or even comment on them.

With YouTube, we have a choice of either uploading a video of our own opinions on certain events, uploading videos of rallies or speeches, or commenting on the videos which are already out there.

For the various blogs and message boards out there, we can employ the same methods we used above, especially sharing them on the other social media outlets. This way the same articles get multiple coverage.

Why do I say post the same articles on all forms of social media? The answer is real simple. You might have different friends on Facebook than you do on Twitter (for example) and as such your Twitter friends might not be aware of a certain issue if you had only posted it to Facebook. I use all of the above social media outlets and there are some friends who are one outlet but not on others. If you only post to one social media outlet and then tell your friends on another they might feel out of the loop if they had not read a certain article, blog entry, or anything else. That is why we should cover ALL of the social media outlets, regardless of what they are, and get the word out there.

If you are interested in a Social Media Tea Party, please let me know and hopefully we can try to work something out. My email and Instant Messengers are always open and available for discussion about this.

The 2012 Election and Talk of a Third Party (Part 2)

Well apparently it seems like many people either did not read my entry from last week or they did and just brushed it off as nonsense so let me reiterate this once more.

THIS ELECTION IS WAY TOO IMPORTANT TO VOTE THIRD PARTY!

In other words, the ONLY TWO VIABLE CHOICES for this election are BARACK OBAMA AND THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE. If you sit at home or vote for anyone else then it is a throwaway vote for Obama. Many of us have our own reasons why we are not going to vote for any of the GOP candidates in the primaries, but if this does not go into a brokered convention, then our ONLY OTHER CHOICE is to come together as a party or a group and vote Obama out. The only one that can do that is the Republican nominee. No third party candidate (outside of Ross Perot in 1992) had gotten enough traction to make a dent in the election count, whether it is popular vote or electoral vote.

Allow me to reiterate two comments made my by Harriet Baldwin, my co-host, in the Patriot Zone

  • Let me be clear: This is the MOST important election in our lifetimes. We MUST get behind the nominee-whoever it may be. A vote for ANY "third party candidate" is a vote for The Fraud aka Barack Hussein Obama. You are either with America or against America. Voting for Third Party or sitting on your sorry azz is unaccepatable.
  • Get involved. Get informed. COMMUNICATE. This "Third Party" talk is FINE after 2012. Not now. Imagine what this America-hating Usurper will do as a Lame Duck? Give me a break. End of America.
  • IF we do not vote for the GOP nominee in November, then this WILL be our future during an Obama second term

If you want this to happen, then go ahead and vote for Barack Obama or those fronts known as third party candidates this year. I am voting for the Republican nominee because I want to be able to sing this come November 7.

The choicer is yours, either a tyrannical anti-American dictator to lead us into the fall of the Republic, or the chance to sing Goodbye to him in November.

The 2012 Election and Talk of a Third Party

This week in the Patriot Zone there was one person who had said that because it looks like Mitt Romney will be the Republican Presidential Nominee, he will be voting third party and encouraged others to do so as well. History has shown that third parties serve nothing but heartbreak for the sitting president. For a classic example of this, we need look no further than 1992 when George H. W. Bush, aka Bush 41, lost to Bill Clinton due to Ross Perot siphoning a large amount of votes. Outside of that, third party candidates (and there are many of them. I think on this ballot there are 40-50 third parties who would be fielding a presidential nominee.

In 2008, we had elected Barack Obama, one who was not properly vetted by the media and when he came in to office did so with the goal of fundamentally transforming our nation, ready to rule form day one according to Valerie Jarrett, a member of his then-transition staff. Now thanks to Andrew Breitbart and Sean Hannity, we have begun to properly vet Barack Obama. this election is WAY to important to waste it on a third party because of the destruction Obama has been doing. I feel that if we vote third party come November 6, 2012, we will in a sense be handing Obama the keys to the White House for another four years.

IF we want to get Obama out of office in November, we have to do so with the right candidate. Outside of Perot's serious run in 1992, third party candidates have only served as spoilers for the sitting president in history. However, I feel that this year the third party candidate will serve to aid Obama in keeping the White House for another 4 years because of this current crop of candidates. Granted, I am a Republican and a Newt Gingrich supporter, but let's be realistic here. If he is not the nominee this year, the other three are not quite as electrifying to me as Newt is. It looks like Mitt Romney is the presumptive nominee, and if he keeps his position, I will vote for him in November because he, like the other Republican nominees this year, are better than Obama. The only one who electrified and excited me this election season was Herman Cain, but thanks to the establishment suits on both the Republican and the Democrat since he was forced to suspend his campaign.

My good friend and co-host Harriet Baldwin had posted a couple of things to really put this election into perspective when she posted the following two comments in The Patriot Zone.

The ONLY TRUE VIABLE alternative to Barack Hussein Obama in November is the Republican nominee, where it be Mitt Romney, the other three candidates running now, or whoever comes out of a brokered convention in August. Either way, whoever comes out of the Republican National Convention on August 30, we will have 60 days to coalesce around that candidate and do whatever it takes to defeat Obama. A vote for ANY of the third party candidates this year, and this clip from "Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith" COULD VERY WELL be our future if Obama wins re-election.

I know I do not want this to happen. The question is, "Do You?"

The truth about our economic mess

I had found this on Facebook, and it is so true. The Democrats like to claim that it is “Bush’s fault” we are in this mess, but is it really? Read this and then decide.

    READ THIS THOROUGHLY AND SHARE....
IT WILL EXPLAIN A LOT TO THE UNIFORMED
{It won't matter at all to the leftists because they will refuse to see,
    but what else is new...)
    • Our Economic Mess and How Obama "inherited" it.
IN CASE YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THE DETAILS
Or Why the Democrats find it so "convenient to blame Bush...
Don't just skim over this, read it slowly and let it sink in.
If in doubt, check it out.
The day the Democrats took over was NOT January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, which is the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate ---the beginning of the 110th Congress.
On JANUARY 3, 2007, the Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers FOR THE FIRST TIME since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:
On January 3, 2007, the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.
    At the time:
    • The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
    • The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
    • The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
    • George Bush's Economic policies had SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH
    Remember the day...
January 3, 2007 was the day that BARNEY FRANK TOOK OVER THE HOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE AND CHRIS DODD TOOK CONTROL OF THE SENATE BANKING COMMITTEE
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
    BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
THE SENATE BANKING COMMITTEE and the HOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE set up the banking and unemployment crisis by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiasco!
Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - beginning in 2001 -because he knew the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac boondoggle was a grave risk to the US economy.
Who collected the 3rd highest payoff (lobbying dollars/campaign contributions) from Freddie and Fannie? OBAMA
Who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrats in Congress, especially those in tcharge of the Banking and Financial Services Committees
So when someone tries to blame Bush..
    REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007....
THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
    FURTHERMORE:
Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress. The Democrats controlled the budget process in 2008 & 2009, as well as 2010 &2011, because they control the House of Representatives.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush, somewhat belatedly, got tough on spending increases.
In 2008 however, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid did an end run around George Bush, and passed continuing resolutions to keep the government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President in 2009.
    • If the Democrats inherited a deficit, it was the 2007 deficit -- which was the last budget from a Republican-controlled Congress. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and featured the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After 2007, the Democrats in Congress took control of spending, including Barack Obama, who voted for those succeeding budgets.
    • If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is :
I inherited a deficit that I voted for and helped create.
This will not be widely publicized, unless each of us shares it!
(Even then many will not understand or will CHOOSE not to understand) But we must try to explain to those who will actually listen. Please share.

Elections are like College Football and Basketball Postseasons

With the College Basketball tournament in full motion, and reading all of the results from the past four days, I got to thinking about the past three election seasons. In a way, these election seasons are like a mix of both the College basketball and the College Football Postseason. Why do I also mention College Football?

Simply put, the past two presidential elections are like the College Football postseason in that the establishment (on both the Republican and Democrat sides) have forced their candidate on us, just like our two choices in the form of #1 vs. #2 in the insipid Bowl Championship Series standings.

Now while the past two presidential elections have our candidates already named for us, Congressional elections (as well as the Democrat Presidential Primary in 2008 and the Republican Presidential Primary now) are like the NCAA College Basketball Tournament in that just as the 68 (current) teams play to see who will be the National College Basketball Champion, WE THE PEOPLE vote for who we want as a nominee. Sometimes we see upsets (like mid-major Butler University making it to the Final Four the past couple of years only to lose in the National Championship game) and sometimes we see the favorites survive and win (like #1 seed Duke University in 2010). We also see buzzer-beater shots making people heroes (like Christian Laettner's buzzer beater as well as others in the following video)

and also shots making people goats (like Gordon Hayward missing the final second shot in the 2010 National Championship Game vs. Duke)

This year's Republican Presidential Primary has seen many people as front runners (Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney) and we have also seen many gaffes (like Perry's oops comment during a debate)

However, one constant has remained true throughout this primary. That is WE THE PEOPLE are deciding, and we will continue to decide the nominee, whether said nominee gets 1,144 delegates between now and June 26 (the last primary) or by way of a brokered (or contested) convention the week of August 27-30 at the Republican National Convention.

If you are an American and have not voted as of yet (in the states and territories that have primaries and caucii coming up) please exercise your privilege (Note: it is not a right to vote, as there is no right to vote in a presidential election, but that is for another show) to vote for whoever your candidate may be. Will your candidate be a Butler, or will your candidate be a Duke?

The beginning of the end for Barack Obama

    IAmAndrewBreitbart2

On my rants blog I had mentioned why I first started blogging, and how I got this press hat pic and use it as my display pic on my social media and on my instant messengers. Earlier this week I had written a wonderful blog entry on the year 2012 being the year of #IAmAndrewBreitbart, and seen on Twibbon an #IAmAndrewBreitbart page. If you are on Twitter, you would have seen me wear it on my display pic for the last week.

This week we have seen the vetting of Obama beginning, with the tapes released by the Breitbart group of websites on the Sean Hannity TV show Wednesday, and will be released more tonight. We are doing the job that the mainstream media could not, would not, and did not do in 2008, and this time there will be nowhere to hide. Come November, there will be enough on Obama that had not been there in 2008 that it will cause him to lose the election and then America can return to its’ founding principles.

    2012: The Year of #IAmBreitbart

I know we are only 65 days into the year, and we lost a great Conservative Patriot 6 days ago, but this has to be said. If there is anything we will take away from this year, it is the tag of #IAmBreitbart, just like 2011 was the year of #IAmJohnGalt in memory of the movie “Atlas Shrugged: Part 1” which opened on April 15, 2011.

I might not have met Andrew Breitbart, but had seen him on Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld and also in a few YouTube videos where he confronted the Occupy Wall street people as well as some who opposed the Tea Party. Through those incidents I feel as if I had known Andrew Breitbart, and will uphold his legacy of citizen journalism and blow the whistle on those who seek to cause harm to the country.

Huge Rally set for Washington DC on Tax Day 2012

Washington DC, you better brace yourselves. a Class 10 HermanCain is coming your way April 15 and 16, bringing with it an angry group of Patriots who are waking up thanks to the Solutions Revolution.

On February 29, Herman Cain held a 45 minute conference, which was sponsored by Four Tier Strategies, with a group of bloggers. As always, Cain is forever changing the landscape, just as he did during his presidential campaign. This time, he had unveiled a new website called Sick of Stimulus with a wonderful video which sums it all up perfectly.

“The Liberal media and the Democrats hate 9-9-9,“ Cain said. “They want to marginalize the message and the messenger. We are up against the liars in DC and in the mainstream media.”

On April 15th and 16th, all 535 elected officials (435 Congressmen and 100 Senators) will be targeted by hundreds of thousands of normal citizens to support 9-9-9. Cain said that 9-9-9 is the people’s solution, and one way to let the leaders in Washington DC know about it is by getting a grassroots movement formed to peacefully advance to Washington and organize a peaceful combination of a meeting and a rally to let Congress know that “the sleeping giant has awakened!”

Cain also mentioned that he will be filling in for Neal Boortz March 1 and 2 from 10 AM to 1 PM on WSB Radio out of Atlanta. For more information on 9-9-9 and the Solutions Revolution, go to http://www.cainconnections.com. As he always says, the people need to “stay informed, stay inspired, and stay involved”

My Take on the Morning Debate of January 8, 2012

First, I have to say that even though I did not see last night’s debate and only heard little snippets here and there this morning, to have another debate 10 hours later is a little ridiculous. Granted, I think a morning debate would be good from time to time, but not on back to back days or in the span of 12 hours to where it almost has the feel of a day-night (or in this case a night-day) doubleheader in baseball. Also, now that Michele Bachmann is out of the race things might be a little quicker as far as not only the debates but we might also see some separation as to who has the ability to proceed deeper into the Primary Season and who cannot.

That said, the debate (which a transcript can be found HERE) on NBC’s Meet The Press today had the feel of a Sunday morning talk show, which it kind of was. Now while I did not tweet much during the Debate, I had followed Dick Morris’ Twitter feed and posted a few of his Tweets in my own Timeline as well as in one group I am involved in on Facebook. Morris says that his analysis is pretty much spot on, and he went on to say that though Newt Gingrich won the debate (which I agree with him on) that Mitt Romney did not lose any ground and might win the primary on Tuesday.

Fortunately, there was only one 10 minute (if that) block where the the social issue of gay rights was mentioned. As one prominent talk radio show host says, if the candidates spend a lot of time talking about social conservatism (ie. gay marriage and abortion) and not on jobs and the economy, then come November the independent voters and the women will all swarm to Barack Obama and we will be stuck with 4 more years of Obama ruining this country. However, I will say that the biggest applause line (at least to me) during that block was at the end when this interaction took place between Rick Santorum and Andy Hiller, Political Editor of WHDC TV 7 in Boston:

HILLER: What if you had a son who came to you and said he was gay?
SANTORUM: I would love him as much as I did the second before he said it. And I would try to do
everything I can to be as good a father to him as possible.

One of the things I noticed which happened at least 10 times during the debate was when one of the candidates would talk about what a failure Obama is as president and then David Gregory would steer the conversation away. Granted, this is the REPUBLICAN Debate, but what the Republicans are focusing on is the fact that whoever comes out of the primaries will have to face Obama in November. Now the one who I had seen try to focus on Obama and not on the other candidates in the past is Newt. If more candidates had followed the formula of going after Obama and not each other (keeping in mind Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment of not speaking ill of another Republican) then we probably would have gotten a little more substance from each of the candidates and not the style which the liberal media is trying to focus on.

My own personal report card and analysis of the candidates is as follows:

Newt Gingrich – Time and again Gingrich has shown why he is a master at the debates, and today is no different. Granted, he went after Romney on his record as Massachusetts governor but all in all he pretty much stayed out of the fray against the other candidates. His best line of the day came when he talked about the type of person who is most likely to survive against the kind of billion-dollar campaign the Obama team is going to run. Debate grade: A-

Mitt Romney – As Dick Morris had tweeted, Newt might have won the debate but Romney did just enough to maintain his lead in the polls in New Hampshire and should win the primary handily. I have to say that I agree with Morris. Most of Romney’s answers were just enough to keep him in the lead, with no epic failures. Same old basic average Mitt. Debate grade: C

Jon Huntsman – Some people had asked why huntsman is even running, and there have been a time or two in which why I was wondering as well. However, he has some high points on China (naturally because he was Ambassador to China) and his 4 years as Utah governor.other than that, he was relatively ignored. Debate grade: C+

Ron Paul – I do have to give it to Paul on some of his domestic and economic issues. His foreign policy is dangerous and, in my mind, would leave us wide open to an attack by Al Qaeda or some of the drug cartels in Mexico. While I do not want him as President, I could see him as Treasury Secretary or Chairman or the Federal Reserve during a Republican Administration. Debate grade: C-

Rick Perry  - While I am not a Perry supporter, I have to say that he did hold his own during the debate this morning. If he had held this type of fire in the earlier debates, I think he might have survived his oops moment where he forgot the name of the third department he would eliminate (he had poked fun at that during today’s debate) and probably would have been the front-runner. His interaction with Paul over what the biggest problem is facing this country today was the highlight of the debate for him in my mind. In fact, I even channeled Silence of the Lambs and said that Paul just had his spleen eaten by Perry. Debate grade: B

Rick Santorum – His interaction with Paul in the middle about his congressional record (where it was brought up that Paul had over 600 bills introduced and only 4 made it to the House floor only to have one of those four passed and signed into law) as well as going after Paul’s foreign policy was one of the two highlights of the debate he had – the interaction with Hiller being the second. I had first channeled Silence of the Lambs where I had tweeted that “Santorum is having Paul's liver with fava beans and a nice chiante for breakfast!”  Outside of those two segments, Santorum in my mind was flat. Debate grade: C+

Again, the debate had the feel of a Sunday morning talk show, and we had not learned anything more about the candidates that we do not already know.
